- the content is legal, non-coercive, and otherwise consistent with our policies.
Private content is still subject to safety scanning, user reports, and moderation review.

- pressure someone for photos, personal information, or a meetup;
- continue contact after being blocked, ignored, or asked to stop;
- share screenshots, photos, or conversations without permission;
- out someone’s LGBTQ+ identity, HIV status, or other private information; or
- use discriminatory language based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, HIV status, gender expression, body type, age, or other protected characteristics.
4. Communication Standards
Keep your interactions direct, respectful, and safe.
Not Allowed
- Spam or mass messaging
- Requests for money, gifts, or financial support
- Scams, phishing, manipulation, or fraud

Expected
- Clear communication about interest and boundaries
- Respectful replies, including when interest is not mutual
- Good-faith use of reporting and blocking tools
5. Right Now Safety
The Right Now feature is designed for real-time local discovery. That also means it requires extra caution.
Best Practices
- Verify someone before meeting.
- Meet in public first.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going.
- Keep your phone charged and accessible.
- Arrange your own transportation.
- Leave if anything feels off.
Do Not
- Share your exact address right away.
- Invite strangers directly to your home without establishing trust.
- Ignore pressure, aggression, or inconsistent stories.
- Assume a profile is accurate simply because it appears nearby.
Location Privacy
- RUSH shows approximate location, not exact GPS coordinates.
- You can hide from Right Now while staying active elsewhere in the app.
- Attempts to triangulate or pressure someone for precise location are prohibited.
6. Meeting Safely Offline
If you choose to meet someone from RUSH in person, use the same caution you would use with anyone from the internet.
Before Meeting
- Verify identity through a video call, additional photos, or enough conversation to build confidence.
- Tell a trusted friend who you are meeting, where, and when.
- Choose a location you know and can leave easily.
- Have a check-in plan.
During the Meetup
- Meet in public first.
- Keep your belongings with you.
- Watch your drink.
- Use your own transportation when possible.
- Leave immediately if you feel unsafe.
After the Meetup
- Check in with your trusted contact.
- Report concerning behavior through the app.
- Do not continue contact if you do not want to.
Important Limitation
RUSH cannot verify the identity, intentions, or criminal history of users. We provide reporting and blocking tools, but you remain responsible for your own offline safety.

- Submit the report.
What Happens Next
- Your report enters our moderation queue.
- We review the content, surrounding context, and relevant history.
- We take action based on severity and pattern of behavior.
- We may or may not notify you about the result.
What We Do Not Disclose
- internal review methods;
- evidence used in an enforcement decision;
- actions taken against another user; or
- details that would compromise safety or investigations.
False or abusive reports may lead to enforcement against the reporter.
9. Sensitive Information
You control whether to share sensitive profile information such as sexual orientation, HIV status, sexual preferences, or relationship status.
You must not:
- demand disclosure of sensitive information from other users;
- shame or discriminate against someone for what they disclose; or
- share another person’s sensitive information without permission.
HIV status fields are voluntary. No one is entitled to disclosure from another user, and discrimination based on HIV status is prohibited.
10. Safety in Sensitive Regions
RUSH is used globally, including in regions where LGBTQ+ people face significant legal or social risk.
If you are in a sensitive region, consider:
- using a nickname instead of your legal name;
- being selective about identifiable photos;
- hiding from Right Now;
- limiting what personal details you share early; and
- exercising extra caution before meeting anyone.
We implement location fuzzing and privacy controls, but we cannot guarantee safety in every jurisdiction or circumstance.
11. Enforcement
Violations of these Guidelines may result in one or more of the following:
- Warning
- Content removal
- Feature restriction
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent ban
- Law enforcement referral where legally required or appropriate
Severe violations, including CSAM, credible threats, and non-consensual imagery, may result in immediate permanent bans.
